With over 20 years of experience, Wu specializes in patent procurement, international and domestic IP counseling, IP/business strategy, portfolio management, technology transfer, patent analysis, and patent litigation. Wu has provided valuable assistance to numerous multinational clients, navigating intellectual property rights in both the United States and Asia.
Wu has authored over 300 patent applications with various different technologies, such as computer architectures, microprocessors, circuits, semiconductors, computer networking, storage/memory devices, commercial electronic devices, display technologies, packaging, fabrication techniques, control systems, network communications, medical instruments, RF technologies, wireless communications and devices, graphic display, haptics, optics, LEDs, and software related inventions.
Before founding JW Law Group, Wu gained valuable experience as an attorney at reputable U.S.-based international and domestic law firms, namely White & Case, Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner, and Blakely Sokoloff Taylor & Zafman. Additionally, Wu served as an in-house IP attorney for a leading programmable logic device semiconductor company.
Prior to his legal career, Wu was a design engineer at IBM for 8+ years, where he was involved in designing microprocessors for various IBM products. Before joining IBM, Wu also worked as an engineer at the GE aerospace division implementing real-time engine control systems.

Tagliaferri has been previously employed by Nokia Mobile Phones in San Diego to provide in-house patent counsel services, such as leading patent review committees, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, coordinating patent filings with outside counsel, and assisting with strategic IP planning. Prior to his tenure at Nokia, Tagliaferri held associate positions at renowned law firms Townsend, Townsend and Crew LLP and Coudert Brothers LLP in San Francisco. There, he provided patent preparation and prosecution services to help clients develop their patent portfolios.
He began a solo practice in 2002 in which he drafted hundreds of applications over a ten year period to support both large and small corporate entities. Prior to joining JW Law Group, Tagliaferri was employed at:
